The 2024 US election
Clear leads provide thin schedule for Biden and Trump
Neither Joe Biden nor Donald Trump have a particularly busy schedule for their presidential campaigns in the near future. At least not in relation to their respective opposing candidates before the 2024 election, AP reports.
And
there is a simple explanation for why they are not going out to a very
large extent to meet voters, says Whit Ayres, Republican opinion expert.
- When you have a big lead over your opponents, there is no point, he tells the news agency.
Balances from Real Clear Politics give Biden 65 percent support in the fight to become the Democratic candidate. The corresponding figure in the Republican fight is 53 percent for Trump.

Biden unwilling to talk about Trump: "A gamble"
President Joe Biden has been relatively quiet about the charges against Donald Trump, according to NBC News. It is described as a conscious strategy - or a "political gamble" according to some party members.
Among the critics is former congressman Tim Ryan, who wants to see a united Democrat who in clear terms condemns Trump's alleged attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 Georgia election.
- It would be natural if it were led by the president.
Part of Biden's strategy for the 2024 election is said to be that he should avoid "daily battles" until the turn of the year, and instead focus on the economy, an issue where trust in the president is currently low.
