Soldiers killed in attack on Lebanon: “Mistake”
Three Lebanese soldiers have been killed in an Israeli attack on a vehicle in the Nabatieh area, writes The Times of Israel.
Lebanese
President Joseph Aoun calls the incident aggressive and barbaric. The
attack is a “flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty,” he writes on
X.
The Israeli military, the IDF, confirms the attack but says it believed it was attacking a Hezbollah vehicle.
“The
IDF is reviewing the incident, and lessons will be learned from it,”
writes X, adding that Israel is fighting Hezbollah, not Lebanon.
It has only been a few days since Israel and Lebanon agreed to extend the ceasefire.
