South Korean investors a bit obsessed with the visit – following every step and bite
The newly launched website “Jensen Huang’s footprints” follows every step that the Nvidia CEO takes during his visit to South Korea. Since the website was launched, the site has already had 70,000 visitors and that shows how closely the country’s investors are watching for Nvidia’s next move, writes Korea Herald.
The site shows a map of Jensen Huang’s movements, a timeline of today’s meetings, all the news surrounding the visit and a list of listed companies that are often affected by AI news.
The map and timeline show, among other things, that Huang will eat smoky Korean barbecue and drink soju with tech executives. In addition, he will visit a popular quiz show on TV and throw out the first pitch at a baseball game, writes CNBC.
But above all, he will work on issues related to semiconductors, chips and AI.
– South Korea is an important part of our ecosystem, he said before the visit.
CNBC writes that Huang's celebrity in the country is a bit reminiscent of the K-pop band BTS.
