Switzerland offers to host signing

After several positive signals that the US and Iran are close to an agreement that could eventually bring peace to the Iran war, Switzerland now says it is offering to host the signing of a first agreement.

“We are in close contact with the US and Iran,” the Foreign Ministry told AFP.

Mediating country Pakistan states that the parties have agreed on a final agreement text and that Pakistan is “working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps,” according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

When US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that an agreement with Iran is largely ready for signing, he added “probably in Europe.”

Earlier this week he mentioned Switzerland as a suitable location.
