Family killed in Israeli attack in Gaza
Israeli attacks on Saturday killed at least ten people in Gaza, including three children, according to the civil defense and hospitals in Gaza.
Five people from the same family – three children and their parents – were killed when Israel attacked an apartment in northwestern Gaza, according to the civil defense in Gaza, which is under Hamas control. The information was confirmed by al-Shifa hospital.
The only survivor of the family was a child who was not in the home.
Residents of the house testified that no warning was given of the attack. Pictures from the AFP news agency show how large parts of the building's facade were torn apart.
According to an Israeli spokesman, the attack was carried out against a "Hamas terrorist".
Three more people were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit a group of civilians in Gaza City, and two were killed elsewhere in Gaza.
A ceasefire has been in place since October, but violence has continued.
