THE CHARGES AGAINST HUNTER BIDEN (ข้อหาคดี "ฮันเตอร ไบเดน"ลูกชายประธานาธิบดีโจไบเดน )

President Joe Biden with his sister Valerie Biden Owens and Hunter Biden, July 26.

Analysis: Joe Biden's woes are not over yet

The president's son Hunter Biden pleads guilty on all counts and thus avoids going through a public trial for tax crimes. But father Joe Biden's suffering is not over with that, points out Politico's Adam Cancryn in an analysis.

"Biden has long expressed frustration and concern over Hunter's legal troubles and the role his own position has played in turning the spotlight on his son."

The case is about Hunter Biden deliberately avoiding paying taxes during the period from 2016 to 2019 to instead spend the money on luxury hotels, escorts and "exotic cars", AP writes in its analysis.

Biden could be sentenced to 17 years in prison and up to $1.3 million in fines. A spokesperson for Joe Biden has now repeated the president's message that the son will not be pardoned.
