Billström's sorti
M shocked by the departure: "Haven't leaked a peep"

Very few knew that Tobias Billström (M) would resign as foreign minister and many party comrades were taken to bed by Wednesday's announcement, reports Svenska Dagbladet.

Member of Parliament Stefan Olsson says that many have reacted with surprise.

- Not a peep has leaked from Tobias' side, he says, and adds that he doubts the information about a conflict between Billström and Kristersson.

An anonymous moderate calls it "a big shock" in an interview with Expressen.

- Nobody expected this.

The charges against Hunter Biden
Hunter Biden pleads guilty to all counts

It became a messy story when the prosecution of the president's son Hunter Biden's tax crimes was taken up in court, AP writes. At first he offered to plead guilty but admit no wrongdoing.

When the motion was rejected, he agreed to plead guilty to all counts. The judge agreed and thus Hunter Biden avoids a public trial.

The prosecution wanted to take the case to trial and has about 20 witnesses who were ready to share embarrassing details about Hunter Biden's private life and his foreign dealings.

The indictment concerns the 54-year-old's tax affairs. He allegedly avoided paying about $1.4 million in taxes over a three-year period. According to the indictment, he should instead have spent the money on, among other things, drugs, prostitutes and luxury hotels.

"In short, everything but taxes," the indictment says, according to NBC News.
