Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Pakistan again after meetings in Oman, reports the state-controlled Iranian news agency Tasnim.

On Saturday, US President Donald Trump canceled his envoy's trip to the Pakistani capital Islamabad for new peace talks with Iran, as Iran's proposal that Araghchi is said to have presented to the mediating country Pakistan was not considered good enough.

"If they want to talk, just call!!!" Trump wrote on social media, while Araghchi traveled on to Oman.

Following the announcement, Iranian state media reported that parts of the Iranian delegation had traveled back to Tehran for consultations, and were expected to reunite with Araghchi in Islamabad on Sunday evening.

Abbas Araghchi has also held talks with his colleagues in the region, including the foreign ministers of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, as well as the Sultan of Oman.
