Right now: Erdogan has arrived in Sochi for a meeting with Putin
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has now arrived in the Russian city of Sochi for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish media reported at noon. It is the leaders' first physical meeting since October last year.
On the agenda are discussions about the grain agreement, which the Kremlin refused to renew last summer. The agreement enabled the safe transport of, among other things, wheat, barley and sunflower oil through the Black Sea. Both Russia and Ukraine are major exporters of grain, and when supplies fail, the risk of famine in Africa, the Middle East and parts of Asia increases.
Another important issue will be the security of the Black Sea region, which Ankara worries about, writes Zeit.

Romania denies that Russian drones struck the country
NATO country Romania denies that Russian drones struck its territory during the night, which Ukraine claimed earlier today. In a statement, the Ministry of Defense writes that it followed the situation in real time and that the attacks did not constitute any "direct military threats to our national territory or Romania's territorial waters".
At the same time, they condemned the attacks, which according to Romania were carried out on the other side of the border in Ukraine.
Earlier on Monday morning, two Ukrainian sources told Reuters that two Russian drones had crashed in Romania. This is also stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, referring to Ukrainian border staff. Nikolenko also published a picture that is said to show flames on the other side of the Danube, writes Reuters.
Yesterday, several media outlets, including Omni, reported that several drones crashed near the Danube in connection with Russia's attacks. The river forms the land border between Ukraine and Romania.
