Harris joked about guns: 'Shouldn't have said that'

It was a more open-hearted Kamala Harris than usual who visited Oprah Winfrey's YouTube channel last night, writes The New York Times. During the 90-minute interview, the Democratic presidential candidate was asked, among other things, the consequences of illegal migration, the gun violence in the country and the right to abortion.

About halfway into the conversation, Harris noted that she might have become a little too relaxed. When Oprah noted that it was news to her that Kamala Harris owns a gun, the presidential candidate said that "whoever breaks into her place will be shot," but quickly added with a laugh:

- I probably shouldn't have said that, but my staff will deal with it later.

Just before the interview, Donald Trump accused Harris of campaigning with "another celebrity" and thereby confirming that the Democrats are a "party for elitists".

Gubernatorial candidate described himself as a "black Nazi" on porn forums

North Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson has made a series of racist posts on a porn forum, according to a CNN investigation. The posts were published between 2008 and 2012.

According to the channel, they have succeeded in identifying the Republican by mapping biographical details and the email address that the politician uses in other contexts. In a post in 2010, Robinson describes himself as a "black Nazi". In another post the same year, he writes that "slavery is not bad".

“Some people need to be slaves. I wish they reinstated it. I would certainly buy a few," writes Robinson according to CNN.

According to the channel, they have also refrained from publishing many posts of an overly "graphic nature". Mark Robinson denies that he is behind the account, and says that the information will not affect his campaign, writes the Washington Post.
