Ukraine has escalated its attacks inside Russia.

With secret support from Donald Trump, reports Kyiv Independent.

The goal is to force Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table.

Russia was recently forced to install air defense systems on skyscrapers around Moscow.

The reason is spelled Ukrainian drones.

Ukraine has become increasingly offensive in its attacks on Russia, both on the mainland and the occupied Crimean peninsula, and has struck oil refineries and airports, among other things.

- We never wanted this war. But if Ukraine burns, your Moscow will burn too, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyj last week.

“Could meet in Turkey”

The Ukrainian escalation may now have an explanation:

According to the Kyiv Independent, US President Donald Trump has secretly urged Zelensky to “act more boldly” inside Russia.

Ukraine has also intensified its efforts to secure a meeting between Zelensky and Putin. Something Trump has supported, but which the Kremlin has been cool to.

– Trump says he doesn’t really believe that Putin will do anything without pressure, a source tells the Kyiv Independent.

Russia has insisted that a meeting between the countries can only take place in Moscow and that is not an option, according to Volodymyr Zelensky.

– I will not travel to Moscow to meet with Putin. We can meet in Turkey, Switzerland or the Middle East, he says.

“Should make a deal”

Ukrainian officials believe that the military development has helped convince Trump that they are in a stronger position than in previous years.

He also backed a joint statement from the G7 countries in which they declared their “unwavering support for Ukraine and declared that the member states were “ready to consider granting Ukraine licenses to manufacture domestic weapons”.

– Russia should make a deal, says Trump.
