War bill grows – White House requests billions
The US White House is asking Congress for $67 billion to the Department of Defense for costs related to the Iran war.
This corresponds to approximately 655 billion Swedish kronor. The money will go to rebuild the Pentagon's resources after the US war against Iran.
The request is being submitted to Congress in a difficult political situation, as a majority of members oppose further military operations.
The money will, among other things, go to financing military personnel and contingency costs, as well as operational costs to rebuild weapons stockpiles.
