Nord Stream sabotage
Nord Stream saboteurs’ cover: Porn filming

When a group of Ukrainian divers, four men and one woman, headed for the Baltic Sea in the fall of 2022 with diving equipment and explosives, they had a plan if they were caught by police. They would claim to have filmed a pornographic film with a marine theme, writes The Telegraph.

“It will not be suspicious at all in Germany or Sweden,” said the commander, whose limited knowledge of Western Europe dates back to the Soviet era.

The information comes from the new book “The Nord Stream conspiracy” written by investigative journalist Bojan Pancevski, Europe correspondent for the Wall Street Journal.

Over several years of reporting in Ukraine and Germany, Pancevski has gotten to know the two main figures behind the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, and interviewed them for the book.

They do not appear to have taken orders directly from Zelenskyj, but acted on their own initiative, he writes.

Middle East crisis  Strait of Hormuz
Denmark participates in international Hormuz operation

The Danish government announces that the country will participate in the international mission to help keep the Strait of Hormuz open, reports AFP.

– The contribution will include a group of interpreters, drone capacity, staff officers and the possibility of mobilizing expertise in cybersecurity, says Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus.

The operation is led by Britain and France together with several other countries. The aim is, among other things, to keep the strait free of naval mines after an agreement between the United States and Iran has been signed.

Greenland crisis  US threats

Denmark sends conscripts to Greenland

Denmark will send conscripts to Greenland. This is what the country's new Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus says in an interview with TV2.

– We need more people who have knowledge of operating in Greenland and in the Arctic, says Bruus.

The first conscripts will be sent as early as the end of July. According to Bruus, it is about “taking a greater share of the responsibility for protecting the Arctic.”

The decision also comes after a period of threats from US President Donald Trump, who has said several times that Greenland should belong to the US.
