China on tariffs: “Fentanyl is the US’s problem”

– Fentanyl is the US’s problem, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Sunday, according to the news agency.

EU promises to fight back – Germany urges calm
The EU warns that it will fight back forcefully if Donald Trump introduces tariffs against the Union, writes AFP. The statement comes from a spokesperson for the European Commission.
German Finance Minister Jörg Kukies also urges calm, in a comment to Bloomberg.
– One should not act in panic at the first announcement, but rather see it as the beginning of a negotiation not the end, he says.
