Trump: China respects me because Xi knows I'm crazy

If Donald Trump returns to the White House, China will not dare to provoke him - because President "Xi Jinping knows I'm crazy," Trump told the WSJ.

- I had a very strong relationship with him. He was actually a really good, I don't want to say friend – I don't want to sound stupid, but I got on well with him.

Thousands in protest against pro-Russian turn in Georgia

Thousands of people are demonstrating against the country's authoritarian development in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, reports AFP.

The demonstrations are linked to next week's elections in the country. The election has been described as deciding whether Georgia should continue working towards EU membership, or instead turn to Russia.

Earlier this year, the EU paused Georgia's accession process after the ruling Georgian Dream party pushed through a law that many believe opens the door to heavy repression against civil society.

- We are demonstrating for people's desire for freedom, independence and a European future, says Georgia's EU-positive president Salome Surabishvili, according to the Kyiv Independent.
