Kamala Harris was interviewed by host Bret Baier on Fox News.

Kamala Harris made her debut on Fox News last night.

And got into an argument about immigration right away.

- You have to let me answer the question, she said several times as they interrupted each other again and again.

It was not a friendly conversation that awaited Vice President Kamala Harris at midnight Swedish time.

For the first time, she appeared in an interview with Fox News.

Passionate about immigration

And the first questions were about immigration. Host Bret Baier stated that a "number of lone illegal male immigrants have been released into the United States and committed heinous crimes" since Joe Biden became president.

He asked Kamala Harris if she had any regrets from her years as vice president.

It quickly got heated. Harris and Baier repeatedly talked into each other's mouths.

- You have to let me answer the question, Harris said several times.

 

          

“What are you talking about?”

After more questions about immigration, border security and the economy, Baier addressed Harris' statements that she would not have done anything differently during the years Joe Biden was president.

- Let me be very clear that with me as president it will not be a continuation of the time with Biden, says Harris.

The Vice President addressed the fact that she is from a younger generation and has different experiences.

She would rather talk about Trump and the risk to democracy if he returns to the White House.

- You and I both know what I'm talking about, Harris said at one point.

- I actually don't know. What are you talking about? Baier replied.

Apologized

The tense atmosphere continued. When they talked about Iran, it went so far that Baier even said "we are talking at each other's mouths, I apologize".

At the end of the interview, Baier said he hoped Kamala Harris got to say what she wanted to say about Donald Trump.

- I have much more I could say about Donald Trump, she said.

The vice president's interview with Fox News was seen before the taping as one of her most difficult challenges to date – but also the most rewarding.

            

Negative information

Fox News' viewership has the largest percentage of voters registered as independents, that is, neither Democrat nor Republican, of any American television news outlet.

Whoever manages to win over these independent voters, especially in the swing states, will win the election

A number of Fox News' Republican viewers are also believed to be critical of Donald Trump and could possibly be persuaded to vote with the opposing side.

- I think it is very smart that she does this. It's an audience that hears a lot of negative information about her and it's an opportunity for her to fight back. And remember: she's not over 50 percent yet, Democratic strategist Howard Wolfson, who previously appeared regularly on Fox News, told The New York Times.

"Weak and weak"

The possibility of the vice presidency does not seem to have escaped Donald Trump.

Before Kamala Harris' interview with Fox News, the ex-president was furious with the television channel.

He wrote in a series of posts on Truth Social that the television channel, which is known to lean to the right, had "lost its way".

The ex-president said that Fox News "has become weak and weak against the Democrats".

Trump also criticized Bret Baier, who gave the interview, for leaning toward the "cocktail left."

In one of his posts, Trump threatened to stop appearing on Fox News because "it doesn't do him any good."

On the same day, however, he recorded an interview with the channel in front of an all-female audience.
