Professor: China will not catch up with the US as a superpower

China will never catch up with the US as a global superpower, despite the country's enormous growth in recent years. American political science professor Stephen G Brooks is convinced of that, he tells Ekot.

China's GDP is now two-thirds that of the US, but Brooks points out that the distance to the US is widening again.

- I was quite pessimistic that China would catch up, now I am even more convinced that they will not, he says.

Contrary to many others, he believes that the United States will continue to have the best conditions to steer the world in the direction it wants - partly because of a strong military power.

Hamburger chain Brödernas has submitted an application for corporate restructuring, according to a press release.

The company emphasizes that the last few years have been tough and points to, among other things, the pandemic and rising inflation.

The chain has around 70 restaurants in Sweden and around 500 employees.

NHL star Mika Zibanejad has been a co-owner of Brödernas since 2019.
