Sources: Weapons Shortage Worries US Military Strategists

The US has moved such quantities of weapons and ammunition to the Middle East that military strategists are concerned about reduced ability to meet threats from China and Russia, government sources told the Wall Street Journal.

Among other things, the US shortage of Patriot air defense missiles and ballistic Atacms missiles in Europe is “beyond critical.” There are severe shortages of several other types of weapons in the US’s European stockpiles.

Attacks by the US and Iran against each other have essentially ceased in recent weeks. However, replenishing the weapons stockpiles that have been moved from Japan, South Korea and Germany, among others, could take years, and the shortage has made the US vulnerable in the regions, according to the sources.

Iran admits: Sanctions are hurting our economy

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has admitted that the US blockade and sanctions are hurting the country's economy, just days after he claimed they would have no effect. AFP reports.

- Some say that sanctions have no effect at all. I don't know what to tell such people, he says, adding:

- We are at war, and we have to accept war conditions.

Iran's foreign trade has fallen by 25 to 35 percent in recent months due to the US blockade, according to Pezeshkian, who suggests raising gasoline prices to compensate for the loss.

Six months into the war, the US has changed its strategy and is now trying to force Iran to its knees by "suffocating the country economically" rather than by force of arms.
