One found dead after flash flood in Grand Canyon

A man has been found dead after the powerful flash flood that hit the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA.

Around 15 people are missing.

The man was found on Sunday evening local time near Crystal Rapids along the Colorado River, park authorities announced.

The flash flood has knocked out the only water main that supplies tourists and residents of the national park with water, the national park announced.

Starting Monday, tourists will not be able to stay in the national park overnight. Residents are urged to be economical with their water consumption.

Evacuations are underway.
