After 45 days, British Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned.
Now Boris Johnson has interrupted his luxury holiday in the Dominican Republic and landed in Great Britain, reports Sky News.
There, he is expected to run again for the party leadership position in the Tories after Liz Truss's resignation.
These have been turbulent days in UK politics.
Newly appointed Prime Minister Liz Truss threw in the towel after just six weeks in office when she announced this week that she was stepping down as leader of the Tories.
Now it is rumored that her representative, Boris Johnson, also called "BoJo", who was forced out after massive criticism, may be on his way back to the post.
According to the Daily Mail, "BoJo" has been on holiday in the Dominican Republic but boarded a plane home to the UK on Saturday. Back home, Johnson is expected to run for the Tories leadership position again. According to the British media, the country is holding its breath waiting for what will happen.

Cries must have been heard
But it is not certain that "BoJo" really has a chance. The former prime minister's career has been dogged by scandals and his popularity is waning.
According to the Sky News USA correspondent, "screams" were heard on the plane when Johnson boarded with his wife and children.
On July 8, Boris Johnson announced his resignation after a series of scandals, not least the well-known "Partygate" scandal.
Johnson was then accused of partying in the government office, which was also his residence, during the time when the country was under strict lockdown due to the corona pandemic.
Truss announced his resignation at a lightning press conference earlier this week.
- Given the situation, I cannot deliver on the mandate for which I was elected, and I have therefore spoken to the king and announced that I am resigning, said Liz Truss in connection with her resignation.
