Black Friday in the US breaks a new online record  

 

This year, Black Friday's online sales in the United States rose by 7.5 percent compared to the previous year, writes CNBC and refers to figures from Adobe Analytics. The total turnover landed at a record high of 9.8 billion dollars, corresponding to almost 98 billion kroner. 

 

- We have seen a very strategic consumer emerge over the past year where they [...] can maximize discounts, says Vivek Pandya, analyst at Adobe, to the site.  

 

The increase was in line with Adobe Analytics forecasts, writes Reuters.

X can lose 780 million from the ad bounces 

 

The platform X could lose upwards of 75 million dollars, roughly 780 million kroner, in advertising revenue until the new year after dozens of large companies paused or dropped out. That assessment is made by the company's own sales department, according to documents seen by the New York Times.  

 

From them it appears that X's situation is worse than what was previously known. In addition to IBM, Apple and Disney pausing their advertising last week, X lists over 200 ads stopped by companies such as Airbnb, Amazon, Coca-Cola and Microsoft.  

 

The background to the paused ads is that Elon Musk recently gave his support to a post that spread an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.

She urges households to sort out their financial situation, draw up a budget and ensure that they are prepared for possible unemployment. In the worst case, an extension of increased unemployment leads, according to Gabrielsson, to forced sales of homes.
