Harris has a slim lead over Trump in three key states for Democrats.

According to a new opinion poll, she leads by the smallest margin.

The Democrats are likely to win the election if they take home the key states next week.

A new poll released Friday shows Kamala Harris with a slight lead in each of the key states for Democrats.

The so-called "Blue Wall" states - Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin - which are usually seen as safe wins for the Democrats. The Democrats' "blue wall".

The states could be crucial to Harris' path to the presidency.

The opinion survey conducted by the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion shows that the result is a slight improvement for Harris compared to the survey that was done in September. The Hill reports.

In Pennsylvania, Harris has 50 percent and Trump 48 percent. Which is an increase for Harris from September when both candidates had 49 percent each.

The score in Wisconsin is also 50 percent for Harris - and 48 percent for Trump. In September, Harris led by only one percent, but now she has picked up another one percent.

Reduced lead in Michigan

Michigan is considered the state where support for Harris is strongest. But according to the opinion poll, she has now lost a little.

In September, she led with five percent. But now the lead has shrunk to three percent.

The standings nationally:

According to the survey, Harris has 51 percent compared to Trump's 48 percent.

However, Harris has improved his margin among independents in the state from 2 percent to 6 percent. That's the same margin President Biden had among independents in the 2020 Michigan election.

The polls were conducted from October 27-30 among 1,214 likely voters in Michigan, 1,400 likely voters in Pennsylvania and 1,330 likely voters in Wisconsin.

Played a big role in the last election

Despite the slight drop in Michigan, Harris maintains his lead over Trump broadly in the three states.

If Democrats win key states next week, it could likely propel Harris to the White House.

The three states could be Harris' easiest path to winning the election, as they have played a key role in both of the last two elections in 2016 and 2020.
