Lagarde: Sees some slowdown in wage increases
The ECB sees some slowdown in wage increases, Christine Lagarde said during Thursday's press conference. However, the central bank wants to see that the wage increases do not fuel inflation and create second-hand effects - something that they do not currently see.
Lagarde said the ECB hoped the wage increases could free up purchasing power and boost consumption, which would in turn strengthen the economy.

Third meeting in a row – the ECB's interest rate is left unchanged
As expected, the European Central Bank leaves the policy rate unchanged at 4.5 percent at today's announcement. The deposit rate will also remain at 4 percent.
The ECB writes in a press release that the falling inflation trend has continued. "Tight financing conditions dampen demand and this contributes to pushing down inflation," they write.
It is the third meeting in a row that interest rates remain unchanged, writes CNBC
