Research: It will take time before robots replace humans
The economy isn't ready for machines to take over human jobs anytime soon, according to new research from MIT. The reason: People are cheaper.
In the study, the researchers analyzed the majority of jobs that are exposed to AI or at risk of being lost to the technology. Then they reviewed the wages to perform these jobs and calculated the costs of using an automated service.
- In many cases, people are the more cost-effective way and a more economically attractive way to do work right now, says Neil Thompson, one of the study's authors, to CNN.

Tesla's plan: Reportedly planning cheap electric car
Electric car giant Tesla has notified suppliers that it wants to start production of new electric cars under the code name "Redwood" in mid-2025, according to sources with access to Bloomberg.
The entry-level model would cost around 25,000 dollars, equivalent to roughly 260,000 kroner, and make it possible to compete with cheaper petrol cars and the growing segment of cheap electric cars.
BYD took over Tesla as the largest electric car manufacturer in the last quarter of 2023.

Amazon monitored employees - fined 363 million
The French data authority Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) fines Amazon France Logistique for engaging in excessive surveillance of its employees. The amount of the fine will be 32 million euros, or the equivalent of 363 million kroner. That's what Computer Sweden writes.
Among other things, the CNIL downplays the fact that the employees have been filmed without being aware of it, and that all data has also been saved for 31 days. In doing so, Amazon has broken both EU rules and French law.
