More ski resorts in the Alps are struggling with an increasingly hot climate and lack of snow due to climate change. In many places, the resorts are kept running with the help of artificial snow, and more and more tourists choose to rent bicycles instead of skis in February, writes TT.
The news agency has spoken to Anders Bengs, who together with his wife Carina traveled to the Alps for over 20 years to go snowboarding. He calls the last few seasons "absurd".
- It has been April weather for three or four weeks. Or, it's more like in May with almost 20 degrees of heat, says Anders Bengs.

The amount of Antarctic sea ice remains alarmingly small
For the third year in a row, the Antarctic sea ice falls below two million square kilometers during the continent's high summer in February. It shows data from the American National Snow and Ice Data Center according to The Guardian.
Before 2022, when it happened for the first time, the amount of ice had never been so small since measurements began in 1979.
Scientists are now warning that the sea ice may have undergone a permanent shift caused by the warming of the surrounding sea water.
