The agricultural protests
Ukraine: 160 tons of grain have been destroyed in Poland
160 tons of Ukrainian grain on its way to the port of Gdansk has been destroyed in Poland, writes Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov on X.
According to Kubrakov, it is the fourth such incident in the country.
"How long will the government and the Polish police allow this vandalism to continue?"
Polish farmers have launched a widespread protest against cheap competition from Ukraine and EU environmental rules. Among other things, they have blocked several border crossings and sabotaged Ukrainian grain shipments.
Poland's Agriculture Minister Czeslaw Siekierski says it condemns such actions, but adds that he believes Ukraine sometimes overreacts to them.

Medicine can be a breakthrough for food allergy sufferers
Xolair, a medication that has been used for decades to treat asthma and hives, could be a breakthrough for some food allergy sufferers. The New York Times reports.
In a new study, the medicine, whose active substance is omalizumab, was shown to greatly reduce the risk of life-threatening allergic reactions in children who were exposed to traces of peanuts, cashews, milk and eggs.
- This medicine will change the lives of some food allergy patients, says the study's lead author Robert A Wood.
However, experts emphasize that it is not a miracle solution – the medicine helps against traces of allergens, but life-threatening reactions can still occur from larger amounts.
