The US will not send troops to Ukraine.

This was stated by the White House after President Emmanuel Macron discussed the possibility yesterday.

- President Biden has been clear that the United States will not send troops, says National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson.

During Tuesday, the White House announced that it will not send soldiers to Ukraine, reports AFP.

- President Biden has been clear that the United States will not send troops to fight in Ukraine, says National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson.

Calling for support package

According to Biden, the "way to victory" is Congress's repeal of the now-paused aid package to Ukraine, so "the Ukrainian military has weapons and ammunition to defend themselves," Watson states.

The statement comes in connection with French President Macron's statement yesterday  that allies in the West should not rule out any possibilities at all to help Ukraine.

But Germany, Great Britain, Spain and the Czech Republic have all distanced themselves from Macron's statement.

The Kremlin's threat

After Macron's statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned that a conflict between Russia and NATO allies would be "inevitable", reports Reuters.

- Just the fact that the possibility is being discussed is a new and very important element, he told reporters when asked about Macron's statement.

When asked about the risks if NATO members send troops, Peskov answered

- Then we wouldn't have to talk about the possibility, but the inevitability (of a direct conflict), he says.
