Israeli minister: Stop all emergency aid to Gaza
Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir wants to stop all emergency aid to Gaza, he writes on X.
"Today it was proven that the shipments of humanitarian aid to Gaza are not only madness while our abductees are kept there in substandard conditions, but also put IDF soldiers in danger," he writes, calling the humanitarian aid "oxygen for Hamas."
Early Thursday morning, more than 100 Palestinians were killed in a chaotic situation surrounding a food delivery in Gaza City, according to information from Gaza's Hamas-run Health Ministry, cited by the Times of Israel, among others. People at the scene told Al Jazeera that the soldiers fired unprovoked into the crowd, while the IDF said the soldiers were defending themselves against a violent crowd that surrounded and attacked them.
The US is demanding that Israel open more border crossings and let more emergency aid through, according to Haaretz.
- It is a matter of life and death, says Samantha Power at USAID.

Details: Over 100 killed in line for aid in Gaza
Over 100 Palestinians have been killed and 750 injured in Gaza City, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, according to Al Jazeera. The ministry claims that Israel has shelled a crowd receiving emergency food deliveries.
The Israeli military, for its part, says that a "violent crowd" surrounded the food trucks, whereupon many were pushed to the ground and trampled. Some people are said to have then turned towards the Israeli soldiers, whereupon shots were fired, the IDF states. Armed Palestinians are also said to have fired shots, according to the army, which states that the matter should be investigated more closely. The IDF has also released a video purportedly showing the course of events. In a statement, it claims that only ten of the victims were killed or injured by Israeli bullets.
Al Jazeera has published images and videos showing several dead and injured. Witnesses say they experienced the incident as an ambush and that shots were fired as soon as they approached the truck. Terror-labeled Hamas, which rules Gaza, describes it as a "massacre" carried out by Israel and threatens to suspend all talks on a ceasefire and hostage release, according to Israeli Ynet.
Hospitals are finding it difficult to cope with the pressure. Jadallah al-Shafei at al-Shifa hospital says "the situation cannot be described in words" and that injured people are scattered on the floor.
- We are helpless.
