British diplomatic families are called home from Israel

Britain is recalling the families of its embassy staff in Israel due to the escalation of the conflict with Hezbollah. Reuters reports.

The diplomats continue their work at the embassy in Tel Aviv, but citizens' access to help is "limited", according to the British Foreign Ministry's website.

The country advises against all travel to Israel near the border with Gaza and all but absolutely necessary travel to the rest of Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Putin to meet Iran's president in Turkmenistan

Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to hold talks with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian in Turkmenistan on Friday. According to AFP, Putin's foreign policy advisor Yuriy Ushakov states.

The meeting takes place during a Central Asian summit in the capital Ashgabat. The leaders gather to celebrate 300 years since Turkmenistan's national poet Magtymguly Pyragy was born.

Kristersson: "The attack is a trauma for many"
