New order to leave Gaza: "There is no safe place"

The Israeli military is ordering residents of southern Gaza to move, renewing an order from yesterday that residents of northern Gaza must also leave several areas. CNN reports.

The Israeli military IDF states that it is using "extreme force" against "Hamas terrorists" in several areas. As recently as yesterday, Israel issued an order to leave parts of northern Gaza where approximately 300,000 people are. Israeli military has surrounded the town of Jabalia and at least 17 people died yesterday after an airstrike.

The IDF urged those fleeing northern Gaza to move towards areas in southern Gaza around al-Mawasi. Now people in southern Gaza are also being ordered to move. Residents that CNN spoke to say that there is "no longer any safe place".

Israel believes that Hamas is trying to rebuild its capacity in the area.
