The UK promises new billions and Patriot missiles to Ukraine ahead of another support meeting this afternoon.

The new British Defence Secretary Wes Streeting and his German colleague Boris Pistorius will meet digitally on Tuesday afternoon for another meeting within the so-called Ramstein Group - the Contact Group for Ukraine's Defence. Among the participants are also NATO chief Mark Rutte, Ukraine's new Defence Minister Yevhenij Chmara and US Deputy Secretary of State for War Elbridge Colby.

Ahead of the meeting, the UK promises support for the equivalent of 1.3 billion Swedish kronor for air defence for Ukraine ahead of the winter, including in the form of more Patriot missiles.

"We stand side by side with Ukraine until they win," Streeting said in a press release.
