Kremlin on Germany: “They want war again”
The Russian Foreign Minister accuses Germany of “wanting war again”. The rhetorical jab comes after Germany pointed to Russia as being behind the planting of an armed drone at a German airport in early August.
In the past week, the already sour relations between Germany and Russia, and between the EU and Russia, have become even more infected. Ambassadors have been recalled and cultural centers have been closed in Berlin as well as in Moscow.
– This is more or less the beginning of a real war. They (Germany) expelled the Consulate General from Bonn. They are closing the Russian House (cultural center) in Berlin, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov tells a reporter from state television.
– They want war again, he continues.
Russia's activities in the cultural center in Berlin have been questioned for many years.
