US-Cuba Relations
Rubio urges Cubans to cooperate with the CIA

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is encouraging all Cubans to contact the CIA to collaborate in a way that supports the Cuban government—or, more accurately, to bring about change. He stated this on X.

"Take this opportunity to create the change you want to see through a discreet partnership."

Rubio’s Cuban counterpart, Carlos Fernandez de Cossio, is unimpressed by the overture.

"The situation for the CIA must be quite desperate if they are now forced to hawk their services like toothpaste," he wrote.

Just the other day, President Donald Trump threatened a "little war" against Cuba. Marco Rubio’s parents are from Cuba, and he has long advocated for US action against the country.

Persistent queues at Kastrup following new security procedures

Queues at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) are continuing into Saturday, reports Danish broadcaster TV2.

Due to new, temporary security procedures, carry-on luggage must be checked manually. This, combined with the start of the autumn school break in Sweden, has resulted in unusually long lines.

On Saturday morning, it is estimated that passing through security will take about 45 minutes. Passengers are therefore advised to arrive at the airport two to three hours before their departure.

A TV 2 reporter at the airport notes that the situation is significantly better organized on Saturday than it was the previous day.

Drink-throwing aide out after one month on the job

Britt McHenry, a press aide at the U.S. Department of State, is leaving her job shortly after being caught on film throwing a drink at another spectator during a basketball game, according to reports from ABC.

A video published by TMZ shows the former ESPN reporter throwing a drink at people before being escorted out of the arena, all while blowing kisses to other spectators.

McHenry had only started the job on September 10. The White House has not commented on her departure, other than to state that it is an “internal personnel matter.”
