Words against words.
If the police report is correct, then Patrick Sommerlath tells the truth four times in the interview with Svensk Damtidning.
If Sommerlath's version is true, he has "cooperated with the police all the way".
In the interview with Svensk Damtidning, Patrick Sommerlath admits that he deliberately stayed away from the police's attempts to inform him of suspicion of buying sex. Because he managed to stay away until the statute of limitations expired, the charges were recently dropped.

But the details of how he managed to stay away differ on four points between the police version and Sommerlath's version.
1: Sommerlath tells Svensk Damtidning: ”I have cooperated with the police all the way.”
The police's version: In a letter to the Stockholms district court where the police request to search the house for service, it appears that the police searched for Sommerlath both physically, by phone and by email without him having responded.
2:
Sommerlath tells Svensk Damtidning that he is ”abroad since last Tuesday and before the service”, that is, since November 7.
The police's version: In the letter to the district court, the police state that on the first occasion of the search at 17.40 on November 9 at Sommerlath's residence at Drottningholm Castle, the castle guard says that "Patrick Sommerlath has not left the residence all day and they are trying to call Patrick Sommerlath without success".
3: Sommerlath answers a direct question from Svensk Damtidning if he hid in his home that ”it's a complete lie”.
The police's version: The letter to the district court indicates in several places that Sommerlath really hid in the residence. Among other things, a friend and ex-wife say that they have not received any information that he would be abroad. The ex-wife also says that it is Sommerlath's "children's week from Monday 11/13". The information in point four also suggests that Sommerlath is lying.
4: Sommerlath says in the interview that ”the light is electronic and basically always on”.
The police's version: The statement about "electronic light" is contradicted by the police's letter. On the first occasion of the search, Sommerlath's car is parked outside the home and the glow of a candle shines in his home. The next time his car is still parked outside the residence, but then another light is on in the residence. To Svensk Damtidning, Sommerlath says that he did not drive abroad.
It can be added that the castle guards' information about Sommerlath's whereabouts has been changed several times. First, a castle guard says that Sommerlath did not leave the residence all day on November 9, later it is said that he left the residence on the morning of November 9 to fly to Los Angeles, even later to the fact that he possibly left as early as November 8 or 7.
The district court rejected the police's request for a search of the house, citing that certain circumstances indicated that Sommerlath "may be in his residence", while other circumstances "suggest otherwise".
In the interview with Svensk Damtidning, Patrick Sommerlath categorically denies that he would have bought sexual services:
- This whole story is absurd, he tells the newspaper.
Aftonbladet seeks Sommerlath for a comment.
FACTS
The police's letter to Stockholm District Court 10 November
Patrik Sommerlath (hereafter referred to as DM) has been searched and notified at his home and also at the civil registry address xxx, Drottningholm Palace.
2023-11-09 at 17:40 and 2023-11-10 at 07:10 without being found.
DM and a minor daughter are registered at the current residence.
DM was searched on 2023-11-10 at 08:15 at the son's residence at xxx, xxx without being found.
DM has been searched and notified on 11/10/2023 at 07:20 at the ex-wife's residence at xxx, xxx without being found.
DM has been sought several times by phone by call and SMS (070xxxxxxx), however, this has been switched off in all attempts. It has been confirmed by staff at DM's residence and a relative of DM that this number is the one that DM uses.
DM has also been searched for an alternative phone number (076xxxxxxxx) obtained when searching the register, this number is not in use.
DM has also been notified by email (xxx@xxxxx) without being questioned.
When searching the civil registry address, the bailiff has been shown to the property in question by the guards guarding the castle grounds.
At the first search on 9/11, DM's car is parked outside the home and the light from a candle shines in the home that DM disposes of. The castle guard at the castle states at the time that DM has not left the residence all day and they are trying to call DM without success.
Later during 9/11, the castle guard contacts the bailiff and announces that DM left the residence on the morning of 9/11 and stated that he will travel to Los Angeles.
This information is then changed to DM possibly leaving on 8/11 or alternatively already on 7/11, which indicates that there is uncertainty about when DM would have left.
When contacted with the ex-wife and with a friend of DM, none of them stated that he would be abroad. According to the ex-wife, it is also DM's children's week from Monday 13/11.
On the second search occasion on 10/11, DM's car is still parked outside the home. However, different lighting is on in the home than at the time of the first search.
