Afghanistan hit by new earthquake: "We are so afraid"
Another earthquake has shaken Afghanistan, reports the BBC. The quake occurred early Wednesday morning outside the city of Herat in the western parts of the country. At least one person died in the quake and 120 are said to have been injured, according to a health director in the region.
- We are so scared that even when we see trees moving [in the wind], we think there is another earthquake going on, a resident of Herat told the Straits Times.
Wednesday's quake had a magnitude of 6.3 and came after several additional quakes that have shaken the country in recent days.
