Sources: Google researchers to launch AI startup in Paris 

 

Two well-known researchers within Google's AI business Deep Mind plan to leave the tech company to invest in their own AI startup in Paris. That is according to sources for Bloomberg.  

 

It is about the researchers Laurent Sifre and Karl Tuyls, both of whom are considered to be leaders in the field of AI. The team is said to have held talks with possible investors with the aim of raising over 200 million euros, equivalent to 2.3 billion kroner.  

 

The French startup is expected to go by the name Holistic, but have no connection to the British company Holistic AI.

The IT attack against Tietoevry  

No forecast for when the problems may be resolved 

 

The extent of the hacker attack against the IT supplier Tietoevry is beginning to become clear, writes TT. In a press release, the company writes that the attack was limited to a data center, which affected some customers in Sweden.  

 

Several municipalities, regions and companies have been affected - including Filmstaden, Rusta and Granngården. 

 

There is still no forecast for when the problems may be fixed, but Tietoevry says it has "taken measures at the highest level to investigate, mitigate and resolve the situation".

Investor's CEO: Global crises and Trump are major risks  

 

Major geopolitical risks – such as the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and tensions between the US and China – are the biggest threats going forward. That's what Investor's CEO Johan Forssell told SvD Näringsliv and Affärsvärlden after the investment company released a report on Friday.  

 

- There are significant threats [...] And of course many measures are taken, for example to secure supply chains. Many companies are regionalizing themselves more, he tells SvD.  

 

The US election is also a risk for export-dependent companies.  

 

- During Trump's last term, he was not directly in favor of free trade, but introduced some protectionist measures. So if he were to win, it is a risk, says the Investor CEO to Afv.
