Russia: Two injured in new Ukrainian attack

Russia has shot down nine robots fired from Ukraine, government sources said, according to Reuters.

   

Two people are said to have been injured in the robot attack, one of them seriously. The news agency has not been able to verify the Russian data.  

 

In Kyiv, at least five people were killed in a Russian attack with robots and drones on Tuesday.

Four killed in the Russian attack – Zelenskyy condemns  

 

Four people were killed and around a hundred injured in the extensive Russian airstrike on Tuesday morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.  

 

This morning's attack was the latest in a series of Russian airstrikes against Ukraine. Since New Year's Eve, Russia has fired 170 Iranian Shahed drones and dozens of robots of various types at mostly civilian targets.  

 

"The actions of the terrorist state must have consequences," Zelensky writes on X. In a statement, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry calls on the outside world for faster deliveries of air defense systems and long-range robots.

Over 250,000 without power after massive Russian attack  

 

On Tuesday morning, Russia carried out a massive air strike against Ukraine's two largest cities, Kyiv and Kharkiv. Several powerful explosions were heard over the capital and according to the city's mayor Vitalij Klytjo, at least ten people were injured.  

 

Ukraine's state energy company Ukrenergo says that 250,000 residents of Kyiv are without power after the attack. The attacks in Kharkiv resulted in at least one death and around twenty injuries.  

 

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia used some of its most powerful weapons, including about ten Kinzhal robots.
