The money laundering mess in Swedbank is still being investigated by three American authorities – an investigation that has been going on for five years and should soon be presented, writes SvD.
The question is how big the fine will be if the bank is closed, says lawyer Peter Utterström, who has worked with American companies for many years.
- Whether it leads to 10, 20 or 30 billion in fines is impossible to say, he tells SvD, and adds that a harder blow would be if the bank is prohibited from trading in dollars.
