US-Cuba Relations
US accuses Cuba of widespread espionage
The US State Department has released a report accusing Cuba of spying on and infiltrating the highest levels of the US government, AFP reports.
In the report, the department claims that Cuba has recruited and built networks of American activists over several generations and supported a "historically extensive wave of left-wing terrorism in the US".
The report is being published at a time when relations between the US and Cuba are at their most strained since the Cold War. The US has threatened to take control of Cuba and imposed an oil embargo on the country, which has contributed to a widespread energy crisis on the island.
Last week, the State Department also launched a new campaign against political terrorism, with a particular focus on left-wing extremism.

Trump: New Air Force One to be "maxed out"
Qatar's luxury gift in the form of a Boeing plane, which has become Donald Trump's new Air Force One, will be "maxed out". The president says this after reports that the plane lacks several of the safety systems normally found on board the presidential plane, according to CNN.
- It already has many features, but as I understand it, it will be sent off in about a month to be maxed out, Trump tells reporters after the World Cup final in New Jersey.
The presidential plane received a lot of attention after the NATO summit in Turkey, when Trump flew home in the old Air Force One following recommendations from the Secret Service.
According to several media outlets, the plane still lacks several important safety systems.
