Kushner Meets Netanyahu – Pushing for Trump’s Gaza Plan
Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and former adviser, will today try to bridge the differences over the US Gaza plan in talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The meeting follows Sunday’s unusual talks with Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya.
Hamas says it accepts the roadmap but demands that Israel first stop its attacks and fulfill its commitments in the ceasefire. Netanyahu has at the same time called the plan “unacceptable”.
According to an Israeli source, one stumbling block is the US demand that Israel cease targeted attacks on Hamas members in Gaza, writes Al Jazeera. Another source with insight states that the goal of yesterday’s meeting was to translate the roadmap’s commitments into “concrete verifiable steps”.

Iran wants to ban interviews with “hostile” media outlets
On Sunday, the Iranian parliament voted in favor of a law that prohibits the country’s residents from being interviewed by media outlets considered hostile to the country – including American or Israeli ones. This is reported by the Reuters news agency, citing the Iranian newspaper Shargh.
The ban – which must be approved by another body before it can come into force – would mean that interviews or conversations with such media outlets could be punished with up to two years in prison.
