Ukraine says that a Russian rocket factory in the Samara region was attacked over the weekend, causing a fire during the night towards Saturday.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyj writes in a post that the Ukrainian-made long-range missile Flamingo was used.

Ukraine's General Staff says that the premises hit belong to a company that manufactures launchers that are used, among other things, in Russia's attempts to build its own Starlink-type satellite internet.

Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirms that the facility was hit, but does not say what the operation is or how extensive the damage is.

The industrial facility is located about 900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and the hit is another sign that Ukraine is now reaching far into Russia with its attacks.
