Iran: Reward for dead or captured US soldier
Iran's military is offering a reward of the equivalent of 285,000 kronor to anyone who captures or kills an American soldier.
The background is a "large number of requests" to participate, according to army chief Amir Hatami, quoted by the state news agency Irna.
During the US war against Iran, no American ground troops have been used, with the exception of a rescue operation in April after a downed pilot.
Hatami did not give details on how or where the hunt for American soldiers will take place.
- Anyone who kills or captures and hands over an invading American soldier will receive a reward, Hatami said and continued:
- Brave Iranian women who do such an act will be rewarded double.
Hatami also reiterated the demand that the United States leave the Middle East.
