Russia says it is ready to end the war "in an instant."
But then Ukraine must agree to their demands.
In an interview with Reuters, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explains exactly what the requirements are.
Russia has today said exactly what they believe needs to be fulfilled from Ukraine in order for them to end the invasion. They say they can end the war immediately if Ukraine agrees to these points:
Ukraine must recognize the Crimean peninsula as Russian territory.
The Donetsk and Luhansk regions must be recognized as independent states.
Ukraine must stop fighting.
Ukraine must write in its constitution that the country must be neutral and that it must not join any alliances.
- That's all. Then this will end, says Peskov.
This is so far the most precise statement from Russia on what they demand to stop the so-called "special military operation".
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Reuters that Russia was not interested in any areas other than those mentioned, and that it was "not true" that Russia wanted to control Kyiv or the whole of Ukraine.
Peskov says in the interview that Ukraine is aware of these demands.
- And we have told them that all this can end in an instant, says Peskov.
At present, Ukraine has not directly commented on the Russian list of demands, but in a post on Twitter, Volodymyr Zelenskyj's adviser Mykhailo Podoliyak says:
"In a few minutes, we will start talks with representatives from a country that seriously uses large-scale violence against civilians as an argument."

New negotiations today
The statement comes as the parties prepare for new negotiations. During the day, representatives of Russia and Ukraine will meet for a third round of talks.
According to Peskov, these demands must have been handed over to the Ukrainian side during the two previous rounds of negotiations last week. If this is the case, the proposals are not something that Ukraine has previously shown any interest in agreeing to, as the demands mean that they will be forced to capitulate and give up the war.
Later this week, on Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba will meet in Turkey.
