Israeli minister angry: UN chief Guterres should resign
Israel's Foreign Minister Eli Cohen attacked UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Tuesday, Reuters reports.
- Guterres does not deserve to lead the UN [...] I think he, like all free nations, should say loud and clear: Free Gaza from Hamas, he says.
Representatives of Israel have several times since the Hamas attack on October 7 condemned the actions of the UN.
After a resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire was passed on October 27, Israel's UN ambassador said the UN had lost its "legitimacy and relevance" and accused them of supporting "Nazi terrorists".

179 people buried in mass graves in hospitals
On Monday, 179 people, including seven babies, were buried in a mass grave at Gaza's largest al-Shifa hospital. Hospital director Mohammad Abu Salmiyah told AFP.
- There are bodies all over the hospital grounds and there is no longer any electricity in the morgues, he says.
A journalist working with the news agency says the stench of rotting corpses is heavy throughout the hospital.
Israeli tanks have gathered outside the hospital. The military claims Hamas has a command center underneath it, which the terror group denies.

Different messages about what went on during the children's hospital
Israel and the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority give different versions of what the basement spaces under the al-Rantisi Children's Hospital in Gaza were used for. This is reported by CNN, whose team was shown around by Israel's military IDF.
The team got to see weapons and explosives in a room that, according to the IDF, was used as a weapons store. There was also a chair with a rope next to it and an item of women's clothing, as well as an improvised toilet.
CNN also got to see a tunnel that the IDF says leads to a Hamas commander's house. According to the military, electric cables in the tunnel are powered by solar panels on this house.
Mohammed Zarqout, in charge of hospitals in Gaza, claims that the basement was used as a shelter for women and children, and not for hostages. He says it was also used as a pharmacy and office before flooding from rain rendered it unusable.
According to Zarquot, the tunnel has been used to reroute electrical cables from the bodies of water to avoid electric shocks.
