UN: Fuel shortage will soon put an end to Gaza aid
UNRWA, the United Nations aid agency for Palestinians, says its trucks in Gaza have run out of fuel after running out of supplies over the past three weeks. This is reported by Haaretz.
On Tuesday, UNRWA will not be able to receive aid shipments through the Rafah border crossing, the agency writes, adding that "the humanitarian operation in Gaza will come to a complete halt within 48 hours as no fuel will be allowed in.

Premature babies in Gaza are kept warm with foil and hot water containers
At Gaza's largest al-Shifa hospital, staff have been forced to take premature babies out of incubators because the oxygen has run out. Instead, they wrap them in foil and place them next to hot water containers to try to keep them warm, CNN reports.
- There is no water, food and milk left for babies and children [...] the situation in the hospital is catastrophic, says hospital director Muhammad Abu Salmiya.
Several children have died in the hospital's intensive care units over the past two days amid ongoing bombings and blockades, according to Salmiya.
An Israeli military spokesman confirmed on Saturday that there was intense fighting against Hamas near al-Shifa, but denied any shelling or blockade of the hospital itself.

Biden: The al-Shifa hospital in Gaza must be protected
US President Joe Biden says that Gaza's largest hospital al-Shifa must be protected, and that he is in contact with Israel on the matter, AFP reports.
- It is my hope and expectation that there will be less in-depth attacks around the hospital, he tells the press in the White House.
Fierce fighting between Israel and Hamas rages around the hospital grounds, and its staff describe a nightmarish situation.
According to the WHO, the hospital is "almost like a cemetery", and bodies are piled up both inside and outside it.
The lack of electricity, water, food and care equipment means, among other things, that premature babies are wrapped in foil and placed next to hot water containers to keep them warm.
