Biden breaks election promise - expands wall against Mexico
US President Joe Biden's administration has approved the expansion of the border wall with Mexico, a reversal of the president's campaign promises.
In Starr County in the state of Texas, 32 kilometers of new wall will be erected, despite the fact that Biden said in 2020 that he would not build a single meter of wall if he was elected president, according to the BBC.
Biden is under heavy political pressure due to an increased number of migrants. The administration has explained the decision about the wall by the fact that funds have previously been set aside for the construction of the wall through congressional decisions and that these must be used according to law.

The US begins deporting by air to Venezuela again
The Biden administration has decided to resume the deportation of migrants to Venezuela, AP reports. It is the single largest group to have sought the Mexican border with the United States in the past month – and more are arriving all the time.
According to the news agency's sources, flights back to economically troubled Venezuela will begin shortly. The measure is the latest in a series of attempts to manage the flow of migrants.
Joe Biden is being pressured by both Republicans and Democratic party colleagues to do more to curb the development.
