Sources: Qatar mediates to return Ukrainian children
Three Ukrainian children taken to Russia during the war will be released this week to Qatari diplomats in Moscow, Reuters reports citing sources. It is described as a first test of Qatar's plan on how to return more children to Ukraine.
On Friday, Qatar reportedly arranged a reunion with another Ukrainian child – a seven-year-old who was reunited with a relative and is now on his way to Ukraine via Estonia.
Ukraine has identified around 20,000 children taken to Russia or Russian-held territory without the consent of family or guardians.
