Jonas Gahr Støre: "A good team for a demanding time"
Seven new ministers – five completely new faces and two ministers who are changing ministries. That is the conclusion for Jonas Gahr Støre's government reshuffle.
- It is a good mix of continuity, experience and renewal, says the Norwegian Prime Minister at a press conference.
He describes the new government as "a good team for a demanding time", while emphasizing that he is proud of what the previous government with the Labor Party and the Center Party has achieved in the last two years.
One of those who may leave the government is Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt. According to the prime minister, her involvement in high-profile stock deals is part of it.

The Norwegian foreign minister is allowed to go when the government reshuffles
Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre is rearranging the Norwegian government, NRK reports.
The current climate minister Espen Barth Eide gets a new role as foreign minister. He replaces Anniken Huitfeldt, who returns to the Storting after being in the dark about her husband's shareholding. The new climate minister will instead be Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, who comes from the role of state secretary.
Knowledge minister Tonje Brenna also changes ministries and replaces Marte Mjøs Persen as labor minister. Another four people will become new ministers.
It was expected that the Prime Minister would present changes in his government with the Labor Party and the Center Party. It is happening after the Labor Party made its worst municipal and county election in 99 years.
