Putin travels to Beijing to meet with Xi on Wednesday
Russian President Vladimir Putin will have a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Wednesday, AFP reports.
In
a statement, the Kremlin states that the meeting will take place within
the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" infrastructure project.
AP
writes that the meeting is a sign that Beijing and Moscow have
strengthened their economic and diplomatic ties and writes that the
countries have entered into an "informal alliance".
