Joe Biden visits Israel: Wants to talk about the situation in Gaza  

US President Joe Biden will visit Israel on Wednesday. This is reported by Haaretz. The announcement came after a nearly eight-hour meeting between Israeli officials and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday night.  

According to CNN, Joe Biden will both show his "unconditional support" for Israel, but at the same time push to reduce the human suffering in Gaza.  

- We have been crystal clear that humanitarian aid must be able to enter Gaza, says John Kirby, spokesperson for the US National Security Council, regarding Biden's trip.

"Dysfunctional" EU to talk about possible two-state solution  

The leaders of the EU countries are gathering today for an emergency crisis meeting due to the war between Israel and Hamas.  

 

According to The Guardian, the hope is to succeed in "harmonizing" the Union's line, after what is described as a week in which the EU appeared to be both dysfunctional and divided.  

 

Among other things, the EU leaders are expected to discuss what a possible peace based on a two-state solution could look like and discuss a possible "migration wave" to Europe.

940 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip during the war  

A total of 940 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the war between Israel and Hamas broke out on October 7. This is announced by the Palestinian Authority's press service according to Reuters.

According to the latest update from the Ministry of Health, 3,000 Gazans have been killed in the airstrikes carried out by Israel in response to the terrorist group Hamas attack.  

1,400 Israelis have been killed by Hamas, and around 200 taken hostage.
